Unlike competing products, AcSCANEX Serum for Scars and Acne-Prone Skin does not contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Instead, this product contains two naturally-derived ingredients, which work synergistically well: sodium ascorbyl phosphate (from Vitamin C), and niacinamide (Vitamin B3). The serum itself is very moisturizing and therefore, no need to apply extra moisturizer like other competing treatments for acne-prone skin. The effectiveness of the Vitamin C derivative was better than 5% Benzoyl peroxide, widely used for acne treatment.
